Troy Baker is een Amerikaanse acteur/stemacteur. Hoewel zijn werk als gewoon acteur niet heel bekend is, kennen velen hem echter wel van de stemmen die hij inspreekt in spellen en tv-programma's. Hij is vooral bekend voor zijn werk in The Last of Us, BioShock Infinite, Batman: Arkham City en Far Cry 4. Ook zal hij in 2015 te zien -of eigenlijk te horen- zijn in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain en Batman: Arkham Knight. Wat vele mensen echter niet van hem weten is dat hij naast het inspreken van stemmen ook muziek maakt.


Zijn carrière
Troy baker is geboren op 1 April 1976 in Dallas, Texas, maar tegenwoordig woont hij in Los Angeles. Hoewel hij nu een succesvol stemacteur is, was dat eerst niet zijn doel. Voor hij begon met het inspreken van stemmen was hij de leadzanger en gitarist voor de band Tripp Fontaine, een indie-rock band. Hun debuutalbum kwam uit in 2004 en heette Random Thoughts on a Paper Napkin. Zijn carrière als stemacteur begon niet met spellen en tv-programma's, maar met reclame op de radio, waarna hij aangenomen werd om de Engelse stem in te spreken voor de anime Case Closed. Hierna sprak hij nog vele andere stemmen in, waaronder in Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, Fullmetal Alchemist en Naruto.
Tegenwoordig spreekt hij ook diverse stemmen in voor cartoons als Ultimate Spider-Man en Avengers, waar hij Loki en Hawkeye inspreekt.
Zijn carrière in de game industrie begon echter toen hij een stem insprak in Brother in Arms. Na deze nieuwe stap als stemacteur ontdekte hij dat acteurs nodig waren in de game industrie en al snel werd zijn carrière vrij druk. Dit is ook te zien in zijn filmografie, hij heeft namelijk 216 verschillende rollen gespeeld in de laatste tien jaar.
In 2014 heeft hij ook een solo album uitgebracht genaamd Sitting in the Fire.
